Is there any decision in the life of a church that is more important than the hiring of key staff? In his book, “Good To Great,” Jim Collins defines the importance of hiring when he says “First Who…Then What.” He defines the importance
of having the right person in the right seat on the right bus headed in the right direction. Collins says their research showed that the “who” is so important, it comes before everything else. It is true in great companies. It is also true in churches that do a great job of delivering on their God-given vision of ministry.
